Founded in 1988, Motif Folk Dances Education Association changed its name to Youth Club as of September 2000. In the later period, as a result of the need for a new structure in terms of understanding and working status in the service of folk culture, its name was made much more inclusive by making Motif Folk Dances Education Association Youth and Sports Club. Considering the historical depth and richness of folk culture, Motif Folk Dance Education and Training Foundation was established by expanding its service area since 2004 in order to expand its field of activity in terms of research, examination, promotion and transfer to the future. Our Founding President is Industrialist-Businessman M. Zeki BAYKAL, who is still serving as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Board of Directors of Motif Foundation.
